Yesterday when I said that the storms coming on were on the verge of being nothing..... I don't think I could have said it better, from 1-3 inches of snow on friday we wavered from a NWS forecast of clear skies last night, to thunderstorms friday afternoon. This morning the low is spinning off shore with about as much gumption to do anything as a 16 yr old kid with a new video game in his hands. Is it going to come on shore and roll east with a path bringing it just south of Mammoth giving us precipitation in the northeast Quad?? Or is it going to underspin and wobble around and bring nothing but dreams?? Well we live in an intersting orographic area and as a longshot I am thinking 4-6 inches of snow on the mountain with a chance of a thunder tomorrow afternoon. Look for daytime temps to drop 7 degrees on saturday with flurries , and further cooling on Sunday as a cold front graces us with her presence.....next week is a crap shoot as many scenarios are rearing their head but none are wishing to make it a date. for now looks like it may stay unsettled with scattered snow showers, but again, this whole progression of weather is so unstable that we could see a big H hanging over us any day.
Wish I had better news........
