Dry spell to end next week?

Interesting setup next week as 2 shortwaves slide in giving us unsettled weather Looks like my prediction of the next major system being on the 22cd will come to truition, as pent up energy from the gulf of alaska races southward bringing wind and snow to the sierra. Too early to be exact but it looks like a 2 footer at this time. The upper air in these disturbances will keep temps lower so snow levels shouldnt be a problem, now if the low in the gulf of Alaska slows and joins up with the southerly flow reminiscint of January , we could be in for an extended stormy period. But too early to definitively forecast.
