And Im not talking about Yo Quero Taco Bell............
We are going to step up to some storms this week. Starting with a Shearing trough Tuesday night.....Temps may intially be higher than freezing but thats ok, a cold upper low will chill the air aloft leaving us with all snow and slowly falling levels. The intial ridging will keep these storms from becoming major, but as the week goes on , cold air from Alaska will form a trough right over the central sierra giving us at or very close to a bullseye on Sunday with a very powerful storm and the definite leader of this band., this good news doesnt come without a catch, a couple of the models say the moisture flow is going to be pinched off giving us alot less precipitation. If this happens the total precip for the week would only be 24-28 inches
Now the possible good news, if the undercutting low weakens and leaves the alaskan trough alone we could easily see 6-8 ft of snow by Tuesday of next week.
sad to say the possible 92-100 inches of snow will not make it on February's forecast as I predicted 135......will be close though. More details tomorrow
